Because who doesn’t love sleeping…

August 8, 2018

How old was your baby when he or she started sleeping through the night? Do you remember all of the nights prior to that day? Waking up multiple times to feed, change, clean up throw up, and all of the other things newborns go through. Now, do you remember the feeling of waking up the morning after the first full nights sleep? Who could forget that! For us, Claire slept through the entire night at 7 weeks! I know! How amazing is that? Thank you Dock A Tot because without you, we’d still be crabby from lack of sleep. The dock-a-tot worked wonders for Claire.

I remember when I was pregnant I saw the Dock A Tot all over Instagram and the internet. Everyone raved that their little ones soundly slept through the night once they started using it. Everyone warns you about how hard it is to sleep when you have a newborn, but I was determined to get some rest. My husband wasn’t convinced right away like I was..I may be the more easily swayed buyer in the marriage. He always says I am a consumer and believe everything I read.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ regardless, I was determined to get one.

March rolls around and Claire was born. She was your typical newborn. Waking up multiple times a night to eat, endlessly crying, and not interested in sleeping one bit. We were exhausted and one day after being up for the majority of the night, I started entertaining the idea of the Dock A Tot again. He finally agreed and we bought one.

Night two of using the dock a tot and she was out like a light bulb. We co-slept and the Dock A Tot made that so much easier. We put her in it between us. I remember waking up at 6am in a bit of pain because I didn’t wake up to pump, but it was so worth it. I hadn’t slept like that since before she was born. She slept in the Dock A Tot until she was about 7 months and we transitioned her to her crib. She moves around so much when she sleeps so we followed her lead and took her out of it and she did so well.

Now here we are, 2.5 years later and in the process of transitioning her to a toddler bed. Of course we need a Dock A Tot for that – it’s such a comfort to her. She loves to lounge around in it, play with her toys, read books, and watch her favorite show while laying in it.

One of the best thing about Dock A Tot is that it comes in two different sizes. The Deluxe which is for 0-9 months and 5-22lbs and the Grand which is for babies 9-36 months and 22-40lbs. There are multiple covers to choose from for everyone’s style. To shop the Deluxe or Grand Dock A Tot click on this link and it will take you directly to their online shop www.dockatot.com
